AAF Game Files Verifier [GFV]

Hello!

I have installed per the instructions (at least I'm pretty sure that I did), but when I run GFV in Vortex, nothing happens.

When I added it as a tool in Vortex, I set the following parameters:

Name: AAF GFV
Target: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\AAF_GFV.EXE
Command Line: {left blank}
Start In: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4
Environment Variables: {both Key and Value boxes left blank}
Icon: {made my own AAF icon from the png file on Nexus}
On Start: {set as Nothing, instead of Hide Vortex, Hide Vortex, restore when closed, or Close Vortex}
Run in Shell: Off {setting this to "off" gives an error message when you try to run the utility and a red warning box appears = Failed to run tool}
Run in Shell: On {setting this to "on" will show the message Running.... under the tool's name, but then it quickly disappears and nothing else happens}
Run Detached: {setting this to "on" or "off" appears to make no difference}

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but I'm blind to what it might be. I had to turn off my anti-virus because Webroot thinks the file is a Trojan as soon as I unzip (as indicated in the file's description above). I'm running Windows 10 Home Edition and I use Edge as my browser.

I installed it and it worked, but all the results of importance were something like "a work in progress" and there was a warning at the bottom that it was an early version. So basically it told me nothing, but maybe a later version might someday say something useful.

I did have to manually copy the AAF_GFV.exe out of Vortex's staging folder and into steam\steamapps\common\fallout 4 folder, and then I just added a tool in vortex, set the target to: ...steam\steamapps\common\fallout 4\AAF_GFV.exe

After I did that, Vortex set the Start In folder to ...steam\steamapps\common\fallout 4

I left all the other stuff (command line, environmental variable, Icon, and on start) at their default values. The default for Run in shell was off and the default for Run detached was on. After that I saved and then I ran the program from the arrow on the tool icon. After clicking okay for it to run and then English for the language it displayed a page full of stuff, but all the results fields that were not obvious like what DLCs were installed were "work in progress" so basically nothing that helped me debug my AFF installation. I'm guessing that Vortex didn't know how to install one or more of the prerequisites and so I'll have to look at installation instructions more carefully. Right now I'm tired though, so I'm going to head for bed and dream of a single mod that does everything that AAF and it's many, many prerequisites do, that takes a simple mod manager install and then just works. Yeah, I know that's probably an impossible long-shot, but sleeping is certainly the appropriate time to dream.

Unless you were banned there for some other reason you probably just need to go to the rules page on the server and follow the instructions to unlock the other channels.

The same thing has happened to me... followed instructions, GFV/printscreen/rules page then smashed the explosion button/image, and... nothing. I haven't access to the rest of the server, and no, I haven't been banned from Discord [to my knowledge].

EDIT: I closed down Discord and restarted the app, still blocked from rest of server.

EDIT2: PLEASE NOTE that I am an idiot and SilveradoNL (Silver Perv) helped me on Discord to solve everything!

Dope, it checks more than just AAF files, but those it is associated with. Also, people having issues with discord, there is a rules accepted button at the very bottom and can be easily missed.

hi, i have an issue,, (as anyone else i suppose) i did the check with the
file you mentioned, and the result is that the scripts are missing, 29
actually, i did my F4SE installation as gopher, (and some others), but i
got nothing and i do not understand why the missing scripts, any ideas?
